On Track For Success
16 Aug 2006 Elbaz Belle and Terroir, two Pencarrow Stud owned and bred horses, looked next-up winners when placed at Taupo today.

Elbaz Belle, a daughter of Catbird and Zino Belle, flashed home late for second behind Alberto in the Keeninsky 1200, failing by just a short head to grab the honours.
A winner of two races, Elbaz Belle was having her first start since last December and is in her last season of racing.

She is booked to Darley Stud sire Tiger Hill this spring and judging by her Taupo effort she could go out on a winning note.

Terroir, a three-year-old filly by Danehill from Lucky Be Lucky, was also fresh-up today when contesting the Cambridge Stud Maiden.

Given a nice run in the trail, Terroir fought well for second to Giovanni.

Trainer Mark Walker expects Terroir to clear the maiden grade at short notice.
