Keeping Up His Tally

Capping off his consistent form Keeper’s Tally made light work of his opposition yesterday at Hawera in the Eltham Veterinary Services Rating 80 & Jumpers High Weight.

Bouncing quickly from his handy draw, Keeper’s Tally (Zabeel – Paint Me a Dream, by Deputy Minister) had no problem leading the field out of the home straight for the first time where he prefers to be in front. Partnered by experienced South Island hoop Chris Johnson, Keeper’s Tally kept up nice sectionals and kicked away in the straight to win convincingly by four and half lengths over Mickey and Shacuse.

Raced by the partnership of Peter and Philip Vela, Mark Wyborn and Trevor Farmer and trained by Mark Walker, Keeper’s Tally will more than likely head to the paddock for a brief let up before looking ahead to the New Zealand Cup in November.

Keepers Tally is out of Paint Me A Dream, a half-sister to Group 1 racehorse and sire Honour and Glory (Relaunch), and shares a pedigree page with sires Fappiano, Ogygian, Quiet American and Torrential.

Paint Me a Dream has a bay colt at foot by Darci Brahma and will return to Darci Brahma this season.
