Pencarrow Stud bred Chief Secretary broke maiden ranks with a convincing win in the $65,000 Emirates Prague Stakes (1600m) in Singapore on Sunday.
Leading from the outset Chief Secretary (Johar x Anakela Bay) dominated the race to score by three quarters of a length over Fatkid (Handsome Ransom), with Vedere (More Than Ready) three lengths away third.
Trained by Laurie Laxon and ridden by Saimee Jumaat, this was the sixth start for the four-year-old who made his race career debut earlier this season.
Raced by Perfectum Stable, Chief Secretary was purchased by Wallace Thoroughbreds Ltd for $80,000 from the 2008 Karaka Premier Sale.
Chief Secretary is out of Anakela Bay (Fairy King x Natuschka) who is a blood sister to Surrealist and half-sister to Blues Traveller and Nanarch.
