Tintern Aiming For Cadbury Guineas

Well-bred gelding Tintern (Pins x Annie Daly) stormed home to an outstanding win at Sandown on Wednesday for prominent Melbourne owner Lloyd Williams.

Trained by John Sadler, the win in the Ratings 72 event over 1400 metres follows two previous impressive back-to-back wins making him unbeaten in three runs since resuming from a spell.

The promising three-year-old is now being set at next month's Group 1 Cadbury Guineas (1600m) in Melbourne.

Tintern was bred by Peter and Philip Vela's Pencarrow Stud in Cambridge, New Zealand.

By exciting New Zealand based sire Pins, his dam, Annie Daly, was among an outstanding package of NH-bred mares bought in foal to champion sire Danehill and imported into New Zealand.
