Belle Breaks Maiden

Pencarrow bred Redoute’s Choice filly Belle Chantecler broke her maiden today with an impressive victory in the 1008m event at Sale.
Trained by Lee Freedman for prominent Australian bookmaker Mark Read and his wife, Shari, the three-year-old filly was having her second outing, finishing third at her first start on 24 August.
Purchased from Pencarrow Stud at the 2009 Karaka Premier Sale for $500,000, the filly is from the Irish Brief Truce mare, Grace and Power. Grace and Power is now the dam of four winners including the Group placed El Bulli and Abbey Drive, both by Zabeel.
