Another Te Rapa Win For Bibulous

Pencarrow Stud owned-and-bred Bibulous (Faltaat x Battochi)made it back-to-back wins at Te Rapa with a fine victory in the Curraghmore Stud Handicap (1400m) on the course on Saturday.

Bibulous had scored in maiden company in his previous start at Te Rapa and made no mistake again when posting a short neck-victory in his latest racing assignment in the hands of comeback jockey Michael Walker.

Bibulous is trained at Takanini by Bruce Wallace who has had a long and successful association with Pencarrow Stud over the years.

One of the best horses trained by Wallace was the Pencarrow Stud-bred Star Dancer who was a multiple Group 1 winner.

Bibulous has been a very consistent performer for his dam, Battochi, who was also bred and raced by Pencarrow Stud.

Battochi has had four foals to the races and all have been winners.

Pencarrow Stud has retained a two-year-old half-sister to Bibulous by Johar and has her in training with Mark Walker. Battocchi successfully foaled a bay colt by Darci Brahma (Danehill) on October 10 and was booked to visit the champion racehorse again this season.

Bibulous beat home Regal Post and Pinstar in an exciting finish.
