First Foal For Filante Etoile

Australian stakes-winning mare Filante Etoile has produced her first foal at Pencarrow Stud.

Filante Etoile has had a bay filly by boom sire Encosta De Lago.

She was a stakes-winner in Brisbane and finished second in the Group 1 New Zealand Oaks at Trentham.

Filante Etoile will be mated this year with second-season sire Darci Brahma, who was also bred by Pencarrow Stud.

Another notable foaling at Pencarrow Stud has been a bay filly by Darci Brahma from Beyond The Sunset.

This filly is a half-sister to the stakes-winners, Te Akau Coup and Don Garcia.

Beyond The Sunset is to be mated this spring with last season's Dewar Award winning stallion O'Reilly.

Earlier in the week Coutet produced a bay colt by Darci Brahma. This foal is a half-brother to Allez Suez. Pencarrow Stud will offer a Canny Lad x Coutet colt at the 2009 New Zealand Bloodstock Yearling Sales at Karaka. Coutet will return to Darci Brahma this year.

Concert Party had a chestnut colt by Fast N Famous. Concert Party is the half-sister to Empire's Choice which makes this foal a 5/8 blood brother to a Group I winner.

Pencarrow Stud has retained the yearling filly by Van Nistelrooy out of Concert Party.
