Traded Goes Back to Back

The Laurie Laxon and Pencarrow Stud bred Traded took his unbeaten record to two in Australia on the weekend when claiming the Ecolab Southern Highlands Cup (2130m) at Murrumbidgee yesterday.
Trained by Tim Donnelly, Traded (Galileo) is from the Zabeel mare Crystalline and was too good for his rivals winning the race by three-quarters-of-a-length. Now a winner of both his starts, he won the Wagga Agricultural Club Maiden Plate (1800m) on debut by a length on October 15.
A $140,000 purchase by Rogerson Bloodstock from Lyndhurst Farm at New Zealand Bloodstock’s Ready to Run Sale, Traded’s dam Crystalline is a daughter of the NZ 1000 Guineas winner Clear Rose (Deputy Governor). A talented mare, she also won the Group 2 Japan-New Zealand International Trophy, Group 3 Eulogy Stakes and Group 3 Desert Gold Stakes.
Traded’s sire Galileo is one of the world’s best stallions and is having an unbelievable season in the Northern Hemisphere siring 13 individual Group or Grade 1 winners of 20 Group 1 races including Frankel who is considered one of the world’s best.
The dam of four foals, Crystalline produced a colt by Holy Roman Emperor in 2009, a Sakhee's Secret colt in 2010 and was covered by Dylan Thomas last season.
