Quintessentially Does It Again

Exciting Pencarrow filly Quintessentially (High Chaparral) extended her unbeaten record to two wins from two starts when she won at Dargaville today.

An impressive debut winner at Te Aroha last month, Quintessentially was the hot $2 favourite for the Asphalt & Civil Projects Ltd 1800. She lived up to expectations with another outstanding performance for owner-breeder Sir Peter Vela, trainers Steven Ramsay and Julia Ritchie and jockey Danielle Johnson.

Quintessentially raced towards the back of the eight-horse field before pouncing in the straight, quickly taking control of the race and drawing away to win by a length and three-quarters.

Quintessentially is a daughter of the Pencarrow bred Uberalles (Giant’s Causeway). A daughter of Pencarrow’s Hall of Fame mare Ethereal, Uberalles was placed in the Group 1 New Zealand Derby and Group 2 Great Northern Guineas.
