Third Win for Red Beach (NZ)

Talented Pencarrow filly Red Beach (NZ) (Darci Brahma) claimed the third win of her eight-start career with a smart performance in Thursday’s $11,000 Haunui Farm 1600 at Pukekohe.

The three-year-old broke sharply from the starting gates, then settled into fifth position under rider Donavan Mansour. The Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman-trained runner moved off the rail and into clear air rounding the home turn, then showed a good turn of foot to sprint to the lead and score by a length and three-quarters.

Bred by Pencarrow Thoroughbreds Ltd and raced by Sir Peter Vela, Red Beach has now had eight starts for three wins, a placing and $23,475 in stakes.

Red Beach is the only named foal out of the Red Ransom mare Red Magnolia (NZ), who descends from the multiple stakes winner Mulan Princess (NZ) (Kaapstad), who is also the dam of six winners including the Australian Oaks heroine Royal Descent (Redoute’s Choice).

The family also features the multiple Group 2 winner and successful sire Falkirk (NZ) (Tale of the Cat).
