Mehzebeen (NZ)

Karaka 2021 Book 1 graduate Mehzebeen is a three-year-old filly by Almanzor out of Salkantay who has had a progressive start to her career for trainer Mark Walker. Purchased by Sarai Stud for just $50,000, she was a decisive winner at just her fourth career start.

She later went on to place second in the Group One New Zealand Oaks finishing just three lengths behind Pennyweka who subsequently went on to win the Australian Oaks. Mehzebeen has amassed $92,210 in prize money so far and looks an exciting prospect for the future.

Her dam Salkantay (NZ) (Zabeel) has produced three foals to race including Smiling Touch (NZ) who has been stakes-placed in New Zealand, and on transfer to Hong Kong the O’Reilly gelding has already won two races.
