Testa Rossa gelding Okanagan (NZ) scored a comfortable win in his first start on Wednesday at Te Aroha in the maiden Stephen Marsh Racing Stables 1200m event. Although a bit tardy out of the gates, Okanagan worked through to the lead and showed a nice kick at the 300m when challenged. Prior to the race co-trainer Andrew Forsman commented Okanagan had trained well since his soft trial win a week earlier.
