Pencarrow Presents Yearling Class of 2025

As always, the only opportunity for buyers to access this season’s crop of yearlings from internationally respected nursery Pencarrow Stud will be at the Karaka Sales Centre, where another quality draft of 26 yearlings is catalogued for Book 1 of Karaka 2025.

Pencarrow will present an exclusive and high-quality offering of 16 colts and 10 fillies during the three-day sale, which runs from Sunday January 26 to Tuesday January 28 in the Sir Patrick Hogan Auditorium.

The draft will get off to a strong start with its very first yearling to go through the ring, Lot 12. The colt is by last season’s champion New Zealand first-season sire Super Seth and is a half-brother to the triple Group One winner and successful sire Turn Me Loose (NZ) (Iffraaj).

Super Seth is also the sire of the next Pencarrow yearling, Lot 17, whose winning dam Ipso Facto (NZ) (More Than Ready) is a half-sister to the Group Three winner and Group One-placed Pearl Of Alsace (NZ) (Tavistock), along with the Group Two winner Zourion (NZ) (Zoustar).

Lot 101 brings quality European bloodlines to the Karaka sale ring. The filly is by exciting shuttle stallion Hello Youmzain out of the Camelot mare Marsden Cross, whose half-sister Many Colours (Green Desert) is dam of the Group One English 1000 Guineas (1600m) and Prix Rothschild (1600m) winner Mother Earth (Zoffany).
