Pencarrow filly Copiapino (NZ) (Medaglia d’Oro) scored the first win of her career with a powerful front-running performance in Wednesday’s $10,000 Stella Artois 3YO (1200m) at Hastings.
Well-bred Pencarrow filly Aloft (NZ) (Atlante) continued a perfect start to her career in Friday’s $10,000 Epsom & Ascot With Wheels & George (1400m) at New Plymouth. The Rating 65 race was her second start and second win, having won a 1250-metre maiden race at Rotorua on debut on November 27.
In her first start at stakes level, Lilikoi (NZ) (Charm Spirit) scored a brilliant victory in Saturday’s $70,000 Group 3 LawnMaster Eulogy Stakes (1600m) at Awapuni – a race that has been very special for owner-breeder Sir Peter Vela.
