Lucky Be Lucky has foaled an impressive filly by leading young sire Darci Brahma. This Storm Cat mare has already produced the prolific winners Santangelo and Terroir. She appears to be on the verge of leaving a really outstanding horse in the near future. Her best chance may be the Darci Brahma yearling colt bought by Lisa Latta for $200,000 from their Premier draft at Karaka 2013.

Rip Van Winkle - KAILEY PRINCESS

Kailey Princess has foaled an impressive filly by Rip Van Winkle. This Danehill mare is now twenty years old but that hasn't affected the development of this foal. She has weighed in at 60kg and exhibits all the quality of the previous foals from this mare.

Kudamm has excelled with the delivery of a 62kg foal, an exceptional size for a maiden mare. This Excellent Art colt has plenty of muscle and bone and should grow into a most impressive specimen. Kudamm was an accomplished performer winning three times and being stakes placed behind Platinum Princess.

High Chaparral - Uberalles (NZ)

New Zealand Derby placegetter, Uberalles, has foaled an athletic filly by High Chaparral. Uberalles is Ethereal's first foal and showed abundant ability in a short career. Her three-year-old filly, Biddable, has also shown promise in her first appearances this spring.

Alentejo has delivered her second foal, a colt by Prince Conti. Alentejo is from an established Pencarrow family that includes multiple Group 1 winner Star Dancer. This family traces back to such elite performers Naturalism and Crystal Palace.

Darci Brahma - Pavan

Pavan completed a busy night in the foaling paddock when she delivered her colt by Darci Brahma. Pavan was a very accomplished racemare running second to Tycoon Lil in the Group 1 New Zealand Oaks. She also placed second in the Group 1 Australasian Oaks later that season. At stud she has produced the very smart group performer Let Loushe (Black Minnaloushe).

Paolino has foaled a robust filly by established sire Pins. This family boasts such outstanding performers as Sarwatch, Riverina Charm and Paolino herself. Paolino will be represented by a colt by Stratum in the Pencarrow draft for Karaka 2013.

Magical Moment has delivered an outstanding colt by Darci Brahma. This daughter of Sadler's Wells has already distinguished herself by producing Fears Nothing to win the Rich Hill Mile (Gr2) and place second in the Easter Handicap (Gr1).

Darci Brahma (NZ) - Huluava (NZ)

Huluava started the weekend activity with the arrival of her colt by Darci Brahma. A talented racemare, Huluava is leaving a particularly good type of foal and the stud holds high hopes for her breeding career. She will offer a full brother to this colt at the NZB Ready to Run Sale later this month. Her three-year-old filly by Casino Prince has shown a good deal of promise in her early trials.

Street Cry - Posavina

Posavina has started her breeding career in fine fashion with the delivery of a quality filly by Street Cry. Posavina was the winner of the Desert Gold Stakes and is from the family of outstanding racemares Tiz Juliet and My Juliet. She will be bred to Makfi in 2012.

Caldera has delivered her first foal, a bay colt by promisng sire Oratorio. Caldera is from the highly regarded family of Balanchine and West Wind. This imposing colt will be included in the Pencarrow draft for 2014.

Darci Brahma - Bartolomeo

Bartolomeo foaled an athletic colt by leading young sire Darci Brahma. This colt is a half-brother to the smart Singapore performer Johnathon. Another full brother will be offered at the NZB Ready to Run sale next month. Bartolomeo is a daughter of Group 2 winner Paolino and a granddaughter of champion Riverina Charm.

O'Reilly - Lafleur (NZ)

Lafleur has foaled a very strong colt by leading sire O'Reilly. A daughter of Zabeel, Lafleur won twice at Group 2 level and was placed in the Group 1 New Zealand Oaks. She has begun her breeding career in fine style producing the stakeswinners Amaryllis (Red Ransom) and Papillio (Redoute's Choice). She will return to O'Reilly in 2012.

Sebring - Love Connection

Love Connection has delivered an impressive chestnut colt by exciting young sire Sebring. This daughter of Sunday Silence has already produced the very good Group 1 performed racemare Stanica, who raced in the Pencarrow Stud colours. Love Connection will be bred to Darci Brahma this spring.

Keeper - KIRIN BELLE

Kirin Belle has foaled a strong bay colt by established sire Keeper. Kirin Belle has already produced Group 1 performers Our Ella Belle and Winning Belle. She is the granddam of two other stakes winners including Group 1 winner Fabiani. Her yearling colt by Alamosa sold for $180,000 and is showing considerable promise in early training this year.

Zabeel - LYCIA

Zabeel filly foals are now collector's items and Pencarrow Stud has collected two in the last few days. Lycia has delivered a classic bay filly by the Champion Sire. From the family of De Beers and Tristalove this filly is capable of making a major contribution to the stud over the next few years.

Darci Brahma - Santangelo (NZ)

Santangelo has started her career as a broodmare in fine style with the delivery of an attractive filly by Darci Brahma. A winner on seven occasions, Santangelo possessed speed and determination, qualities she appears to have transmitted to this foal who stood and drank within half an hour. Santangelo will visit Pins in 2012.

Shikoba has delivered a very impressive bay colt by established sire O'Reilly. This NZB Filly of the Year Series winner has matured into her role as a broodmare and has been producing stronger foals each season. She has continued that trend in this instance and the stud is delighted with her current colt.

Pentire - Marie Claire

Marie Claire completed a very busy night with the arrival of her brown colt by Pentire. This was the fourth foal for the evening and marked the halfway point in the 2012 foaling season for Pencarrow. Marie Claire is a stakeswinning mare from one of the most established families on the Stud. She will visit Darci Brahma this year.

Makfi - Sopra Tutto (NZ)

Pencarrow Stud has welcomed their first progeny by outstanding miler Makfi. Sopra Tutto has delivered a colt who is sure to please all connections. A daughter of Ethereal, Sopra Tutto produced a lovely filly by High Chaparral last season. That filly will join the racing team next season.

O'Reilly - Grand Echezeaux

Grand Echezeaux has provided the stud with another highlight with the delivery of her latest colt, a strapping son of O'Reilly. Grand Echezeaux has previously produced the outstanding colts, and now stallions themselves, in Darci Brahma and Burgundy. She also has a beautiful yearling filly by Encosta de Lago who will be broken in during the Autumn before joining the Pencarrow racing team.

Bel Esprit - Vercors

Vercors has produced an impressive colt by Bel Esprit. This is an excellent effort from a young mare who has made a good start to her breeding career. Her first foal, a filly by Stratum called Villars, is in training with Graham Richardson. Vercors was a stakeswinner and also placed at Group 2 level.

Mastercraftsman - OH SO PRECIOUS

Oh So Precious has continued her line of outstanding progeny with the delivery of a Mastercraftsman colt. Oh So Precious always produces impressive foals with size and quality. This colt is no exception. Pencarrow Stud offered a full brother in their draft for Karaka 2013 which was bought by Mr Ho for Macau.

Darci Brahma - ORQUIDEA

Orquidea has produced her first foal, a bay filly by Darci Brahma. This is a particularly interesting mating that features a duplication of Richebourg in the third generation. It also involves the Darci Brahma/Montjeu cross that has gained prominence through Malandrino. Orquidea will return to Darci Brahma this season.

Dylan Thomas - Crystalline (NZ)

The run of fillies has been broken with the arrival of a Dylan Thomas colt from Crystalline. This foal has the look of a potential stayer with a strong walk and some real scope. Dylan Thomas will be represented by his first crop of southern hemisphere three-year-olds this season.

Mareva has foaled an impressive bay filly by Champion Miler Rip Van Winkle. A daughter of Zabeel, Mareva is a half-sister to New Zealand Bloodstock Filly of the Year Shikoba. Her three-year-old filly by Darci Brahma was an impressive trial winner recently.

Commands - Annie Daly

Pencarrow Stud has welcomed a strong bay filly by Commands from Annie Daly. This was a red letter day for Commands producing a Group 1 and Group 2 winner at Rosehill later that afternoon. Annie Daly has a full brother to this foal in training with Bruce Wallace. He appears to be an outstanding prospect for three-year-old races this season.

Ethereal has delivered an impressive bay filly by Rip Van Winkle (Galileo). This foal has all the attributes required to emulate her famous parents with scope, frame, and an effortless action. She will be a welcome addition to the Pencarrow racing team in seasons to come.

Felenic completed a busy day in the foaling paddock when delivering a robust filly by leading sire Darci Brahma. Felenic is a stakes winning Cape Cross mare from an Oaks winning family. She is maturing into her role as a broodmare and this filly represents her best effort to date. She will be bred to Keeper this season.

Zygadene has foaled an impressive filly by established sire Keeper. A talented racemare in her own right, Zygadene is a sister to outstanding broodmare Lafleur.

Group-winning mare Santagostino has produced her fourth foal, a colt by leading stallion Lonhro. This is her first colt and he is a very smart and active individual. She has so far produced two winners from two to the races in Deliciano and Siciliani, both by Darci Brahma.

Beyond the Sunset has delivered an impressive bay colt by champion sire Fastnet Rock. This foal is a half-brother to two stakes winners including Te Akau Coup, winner of the Matamata Breeders Stakes. Beyond the Sunset will be bred to Darci Brahma this season.

Inniskillen has produced a bay colt by proven sire Testa Rossa. Inniskillen is a winning half-sister to champion filly Insouciant. Her two previous foals were colts by Darci Brahma. Her 2012 mating will be to Keeper in an attempt to produce a three-quarter sibling to Insouciant.

Madame Echezeaux foaled a strong bay filly by champion sprinter Starspangledbanner (by Choisir). Madame Echezeaux is a half-sister to Darci Brahma, also a champion sprinter and winner of five Group 1 races. This athletic filly appears to have inherited speed from both sides of her pedigree.

Rip Van Winkle - Terroir

Terroir has produced the first foal for 2012. A muscular bay colt by first season sire Rip Van Winkle. This foal is bred on the same Galileo/Danehill cross as champion Frankel. On the strength of this produce she will return to Rip Van Winkle.
